The last few firmware revisions killed ten ability to query for led state of main repeater integration buttons.
The commands to query return no response.
I use command fusion to control RA and have stayed at a previous firmware/software version because of this.
Any plans to correct this?
Also why does the ra main repeater randomly drop telnet connections?

What firmware revs are you seeing the issues with?

The last few prior to the current release which I have not tried yet. I'm on the road between job sites so I don't know the versions offhand.
Could someone running the latest execute a led query on the main repeater integration buttons and see if they get a response?

20.9.21 is the last version that it works on for me.
My main rep integration ID is 1.
So, ?device,1,101,9 should return the LED status of integration button 1 on the main repeater. However, nothing is returned. No error message, just an empty line.
I have contacted Lutron via phone and email a few times since version 23.0.35 and got no response.
I've been hoping that this would be corrected by now. I just updated to the latest and it still persists. Downgrading to 20.9.21 gives the function back to me.

I am looking into the issue with a Main Rep Sw Engr. I will let you know what we determine when using the latest and greatest Sw (3.1.14).

The LED issue has been resolved in the upcoming SW release either this week or next. As for the Repeater dropping out, how is your network setup? Router with switch?

Linksys router and a SMC switch.
Do me a favor and telnet into a ra repeater and leave the session open. Windows will pick the session back up when it drops but you will see the indication that it happened.

What version of windows are you using? Also, is your pc connected to the router which is then connected to your switch? Essentially, how is the network physically setup? Is this dhcp? I want to make sure that your exact network configuration is duplicated to replicate the issue.

Windows 7 64bit wifi, windows xp via LAN and commandfusion on the iPad via wifi.
All exhibit the dropped telnet sessions.
The main rep is connected to the wireless router and then to the switch. All other network devices are connected to the switch.
DHCP is running assigning ip addresses in the 100-106 range. All lane devices have manually set ip addresses.
I tested this on the last RA repeater I installed and it exhibited the same thing.

Great! Thank you for all of the information! I will have the Main Rep Engr perform the test on the same setup.

You mention that you have three different ways of connecting to the Main Rep. Are you trying to use all three simultaneously?

Sometimes.
I actually have a lot more ways then that.
Htpc Gamepc Work laptop iPad (two of them) iPhone (two of them)
Each uses a different telnet login. It is not uncommon for multiple devices to be connected to the repeater. Not really relevant to the issue since it will exhibit the issue with any single device being the only connected device.

You cannot telnet into the Main Rep with multiple devices at the same time. As for the single login case, one of our SW engineers just tried to see the issue with a Windows 7 64 bit machine and observed no telnet dropouts thus far but testing continues.

Could you do a Wireshark capture to help the project team in investigating the issue?

You absolutely can have multiple concurrent ra telnet sessions going at once!
