Have an older job right down on the beach. Had the VCRX programmed to four transmitters. Had to replace the main repeater due to "unforeseen wear" after a year in the house. This required re-activating the entire system (used the "delete serial numbers" function). Problem is the VCRX no longer will "learn" the old transmitters. Tried multiple times to un-learn the VCRX and even defaulted the unit to no avail. I really don't want to deal with this particular customer more than I have to. Any suggestions?

Turns out it just won't learn the transmitter the caretaker had in her purse for the last year. Going to try and find a reset for the transmitter.

I wonder if the battery was dead on the unit??

Very possible if it was in a purse for a year. Buttons constantly being pressed/held. Even with the 30s stuck button protection, constant abuse will certainly drain the batteries faster than usual.

The other two transmitters learned easy as pie. The light bulb went on two days later and realized that the batteries were the issue.

batteries replaced, works fine. chalk one up to "just not thinking" when I posted originally.
