Ra and HWQS software is a huge step backwards from HW interactive and illumination. It seems they have dumbed the software down to make it more accessible to novices at the expense of "power users". Everything takes longer to do. More scrolling, more page flipping, more mouse clicking... More time.
I don't need a big glossy picture of an 8ans, w6brl, lv120 ect sucking up a huge chunk of my screen in a silly multi tabbed toolbox.
I don't want to go room by room looking at space wasting product pictures to assign to a keypad button. Just give me a zone list of everything sorted by room. Plain old text list is fine, thank you.
I don't need a multicast to find the repeater or processor, I already wired up directly and set that up via telnet. Let me tell you (the software) where it is.

It would be nice if there was a private forum either here, or elsewhere for Homeworks dealers/installers to discuss some of these issues.
This was a hot topic while down at Lutron for HWQS and the consensus was along the lines of your post, fiasco.
