Is it possible to wire a RD-RD-XX remote dimmer by itself? i.e. Not physically connected to a RRD dimmer?
Essentially it would be a keypad that could be tied to a dimmer via software through the main repeater...
I have a 3 way switch situation that has no traveler wire between the 2 locations...
Thanks

The RD-RD-XX must be directly wired in a three way application to another dimmer. In this case the Pico is the ideal choice.

Thanks for the verification. I figured either a pico or a keypad would be my 2 options.

One thing that a competitor did that I loved to use (to bad the product was not stable like Lutron) was that they had essentially a device dimmer (keypad kinda) that did not carry a load. It could be assigned to any dimmer, or group of dimmers/ It looked just like one of their load devices, but just sent signal to those programed dimmers.
I do use Pico's sometimes like this, but I really like being able to give the home owner something that is not battery operated to do this job.

Anyone post this idea on the Hardware Request board? Essentially a Maestro-style pico that can be ran with low voltage or applications without a traveler or existing 3-way? That way we could also have all the color options available as well instead of gloss black or white.
