Ran into an issue where magnetic low voltage LED dimming drivers began to hum LOUDLY. Upon Hanshi's recommendation, we are going to try a neutral wire specific dimmer for MLV. We are going to try to force the 6NA into a forward phase curve. To do this, right-click on the specific dimmer in the design phase. This brings up a small menu with high and low gains, as well as fade rates for the specific dimmer. The adaptive dimmers get a fifth pull-down menu to select the curve. Default is auto-select. In this instance we will change the dimming curve to forward-phase to match the MLV LED driver. Once we have the results, I'll post them up. Worst case, the transformers will need to be replaced as the adaptive curve (forward or reverse) lead to discovering a weakness in this particular transformer company.

Just to reiterate, the next step should be to try a 10ND before forcing the 6NA into a specific phase. I am interested in seeing the performance of that dimmer. Do you have a copy of the transformer/fixture spec that you can send to me?

We are going to try the installed dimmers first. I've got the installer trying a Diva LV dimmer to isolate the transformer from the digital Maestro. If the transformer still hums, then it's the lighting designer's problem as far as $ and gives my installer some breathing room.
