Software connection to repeater is brutally slow

Anyone else have this issue?

If I locate the repeater it can take up to 20 minutes to get through that. Activation can take 10-15-20 minutes just to get started.

When I close the software it lingers for ever after the window disappears.

I can telnet into the repeater fine, the lutron home+ software works fine.

I've noticed the same thing when I am trying to log in to the main over the wireless. My computer settings for my office require a different IP address range than most wireless routers, so I usually try to go wireless as soon as the main is activated to set the IP address correctly for the customer. Try hard-wire connecting with the main and that usually picks up my speed considerably.
