Hey Guys, I just installed a see-temp and HVAC controller with wireless temp sensor in my house and it seems to work pretty well and reduce wall clutter with no thermostat, also the ipad/Iphone app works great. Has anyone added incremental + & - buttons to a keypad? it seems that you can only add a preset button, any ideas? Also, im not there yet but is there reliable temperature metadata for touchpanel use etc?
Thanks Guys!

Hi I have the same question (sorry no help). I thought about trying to sniff packets from the iPhone app, but I'm not all that advanced.
Would also love to be able to push command to change fan mode. I'll keep looking and report findings. Please do the same. :-)

Hi again. I just telnet-ed in to the main repeater and watched responses when using iPhone App.
Here are the telnet commands
Temperature set to 70 degrees. I'm not sure what the last number is for. #HVAC,9,2,70,73
Fan Mode ON #HVAC,9,4,2
Fan Mode OFF #HVAC,9,4,1
Still no idea how to +/- temperature without sending specific setpoint though.

I don't think there's a way to increment/decrement setpoints in the current protocol. You would need to "Get" the current setpoint and then "Set" your new setpoint implicitly.

Ive had my SeeTemp kit installed now for 2 months and I have noticed that occasionally the controller appears to lock up completely, the leds flash on and off, the heat button flashes on and off as well,
Any of you guys experience this??
let me know,
Cheers!

Everybodies HVAC systems are rock solid? it appears as though the temperature sensors (2) occasionally lose communication and then they come back, any one else??

they could be on the fringe of your repeater's range
