A dimmer that has the ability run 0-10v lighting by itself ( like a NovaT) , in my opinion would be a home run. A lot of the LED's I am seeing residentially, are 0-10v control. I have a project with 20 x GRX-TVI's in a closet ( and 20 x RRD-10ND's). This is an extremely expensive way ( not to mention UGLY), to control the LED light source.
Forget that any energy costs savings are totally lost with the extra required parts!
A drawing of a RadioRA2 neutral wire dimmer hooked to a GRX-TVI would be a great place to start. ( There is EXTREME confusion on how to wire this scenario in the field)

The new "super dimmer" 6XA will handle 0-10v, due for release December.

To clarify the above statement by Jimm, the 6NA dimmer that is on the horizon will not directly control 0-10V.

Didn't think so.
I still maintain that a 0-10v dimmer for RA2 would be a great addition. I just quoted another job with 10 zones, all 0-10v LED control. I am going to have 10 big black boxes in a back room. Lots of labour, weird wiring ( according to the contractor), and clicking relays.
The extra cost on this job are $1800 for parts, and lots more for labour. You would have to have this system in operation a very long time to realize energy savings of any kind.
Maybe I'm the only one.

As always, you're feedback is appreciated and will be taken back to the team for consideration. I would doubt that you are the only one with these needs.

Quite a few of my projects these days are in Lofts.
We just don't have a whole lot of closet space for the TVI's. Not to mention when I do have some kind of closet, it is less than ideal for a noisy TVI to be installed in to it. (relay clicking)
I would love love love a wall box 0-10V dimmer to use for LEDs. LED's are not going away, and I am using more LED products that require 0-10V dimming.

I do agree LEDs are not going away, although I think 0-10V dimming will become less common as LED drivers that respond well to triac dimming enter the market. Quite a few manufacturers I have talked with have drivers on the way that we will see in 8-12 months (apparently). Not to take away from the need to have a better solution for 0-10V, because it does feel very band-aidish, but I wonder, if resources are very limited are they are better spent dedicated elsewhere?

So I just got home from Light Show West here in LA. (smaller version of LFI, but still important)
Lutron YOU MUST put people on a wall box solution for 0-10 Volt!
It is not going away, in fact today only reinforced the need we have for this product. I would say that 85% of ALL new LED products are using 0-10V control. I wanted to grab Mark Gasper, and take him around to some of the booths but he was already gone when I got back over to the Lutron booth. Using TVI's to accommodate these devices is not a good solution at all. They are loud, and way to big for most residential jobs. Not to mention that every one of your competitors have a wall box solution for this type of dimming.
I hope I have stressed to you guys just how important this is?
