Just spoke with the Irvine Experience Center and the prospected dates for [glow=red,2,300]PSP[/glow] classes in Irvine for 2011 are as follows: May 16-17
Sep 19-20
Dec 8-9Note: each class is now only two days (less time from work and making money) and will still include shade training . This is a lot easier on the contractor than a week, especially back in PA (as much as we love the Yuengling...).

This training WILL NOT include Shade Training !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shade training is a separate 3 day class.

Shade training is available as a separate class. In some cases it actually follows the PSP class.
Shade training was a new addition last year to the PSP program. And I think some of the RA2 folks that attended won't be using shades because it is not really part of their business model. This way we can really tailor the training to the companies needs.

It it really PSP training if it doesn't include shade training? Sounds like equivalent of a BLAST to me. For the more advanced contractors, especially the integrators, it might feel like it. But the PSP/L2 class spends time on actual selling strategies, take-off exercises, and individual attention to some of the more advanced features available in Ra2. The addition of the lengthened warranty (4 years vs. 1 year) and the co-op $ available to the PSP are two strong factors. Additionally, PSP's are listed on the Lutron website when the consumer searches for local authorized dealers/installers. Our rep agency also refers first to the local PSP's when someone inquires. With the shortening to two days, I feel it's worth the expense. And if the job exceeds 100 devices (including the repeaters), you'll need a PSP with the Inclusive version of the software to get to 200.

Cost is $200 per day and includes hotel (2 nights) transportation and all meals. Sorry no way to back out hotel costs I asked.
