Bump on this again.
Can you believe this? I lost a very nice job to a Zwave ADT system.
The reason..........................
The home owner wanted to control their ceiling fans, home alarm arming, and away control without the use of a VPN router.
But the fan control was a huge thing to them?

This must be a serious topic. It has 2 pages now.
Do they have your number when the zwave turns to crap?
Was the VPN issue because of the little added expense or the hassle of setup and use?

my two cents and another bump, I need fan control, its available in the other lineups, its time ra2 had it as well,
I agree with the canopy module being a pain to activate unless they added an activation feature similar to homeworks shades wiggle, so single gang decora would be the most likely culprit.
cheers guys

Bumping this again since its May now. I have been waiting and begging for this.
I agree that it would be nice to not have to play with the canopy module but not a priority for me.
I definitely want the light and fan in one button similar to the Maestro MA-LFQM.
On a side note, it was mentioned earlier about VPN. I have this set up but its really annoying. I run all Apple gear in my house and unless you have OS X server you can't set up a VPN connection. Besides that its annoying to have to turn on the VPN connection on my iPhone just to turn my porch light off when I'm leaving for work.
I'll keep holding my breath.

I was able to speak to someone very involved with Ra2 product development and, I hate to say, this isn't going to happen anytime soon. Needless to say, I and our entire team have been hammering on this for two and a half years. It would be AT LEAST 2013 before we might hope to hear any better news. If something does pop up, I'll post up.

What is the current status of fan control, timer switch and photo control. Just checking in. Looking for solutions for my high end clients. Thanks in advance for your response.

None of these are on the near horizon. We've mentioned the daylight sensor in relation to shades since day one, right along with the fan control. Both are "on the list", but no date or assets allocated for the time being. Regarding a timer switch, I've always heard "no" in that using the occupancy sensor (LRF2-OCR2B-WH for example) will provide that function, albeit with no options on the time portion when used as a vacancy sensor.

This is unfortunate. They really need 2 fan solution. One for customers who have separate wires for fan and light and a stacked model with a canapé for those who only have one.... I was hoping for something like the photo below... They also need an RA2 timer.... I have waited and waited and waited for Lutron to get serious about the RA2 line... But it doesn't look like its going to happen. I am now starting to look at Insteon. The quality has gotten a lot better over the years and they have a huge product line up including a fan light canapé... The switches don't look quite as nice as meastro but they are ok... This really sucks I was hoping lutron would really get behind ra2 with a bigger product line up
